Loads of Arnold News!

Plenty of Arnold updates for you here, including Arnold's new fitness regime for the young couch potatoes of California, his letter to Austria, and a possible new project with STALLONE!

Arnold's 24 Hour Fitness

Teens are being helped to get off the couch and into physical fitness with the teaming of 24 Hour Fitness Facilities and Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. 24 Hour Fitness is offering almost an entire semester of workout time to those teens who make a commitment to physical health, but so far very few local students are taking advantage of the new program.

According to Kenny Rogers of the Governor's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports, high school students from 14-18 years old can sign up online to take the four-week governor challenge.

The program is part of Schwarzenegger's plan on battling the ever growing problem of obesity in children.

In September, Arnold held a summit on health and fitness. The chief executive officer of 24 Hour Fitness, Mark Mastrov, attended that meeting and made a commitment to support the girls and boys clubs and to the Governor through this free teen pass program. The hopes of the program is to get teens into a healthy habit of working out.

To register high school students, go online to www.calgovcouncil.org/register, sign up to take the four-week Governor's Challenge and print the free 'Teen Fitness Pass'. Free passes can be picked up at 24 Hour Fitness facilities between the hours of 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday; and 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday & Sunday.

Arnold Writes to Austria!

TheARNOLDFANS.com Reports:

Arnold Schwarzenegger recently wrote a letter pledging his love to his homeland. No matter what people in his birthplace might think of Arnold Schwarzenegger, the California governor says he will always be an Austrian at heart.

Schwarzenegger, whose refusal to block the recent executions of convicted murderers on California's death row triggered a furor in his native Austria, wrote a letter pledging his devotion to the southern province of Styria where he was born, a regional official said Saturday.

Hermann Schuetzenhoefer, a top official in Styria, said he had written to the governor in December to express his personal support, and that Schwarzenegger recently had replied that politics would never get in the way of his love of country.

"I always have been, and always will be, a Styrian at heart," Schuetzenhoefer quoted the action star-turned-politician as writing.

Arnold & Sly Project?!

MovieHole.Net Reports:

Sounds like Stallone is up for directing duties on this beast. 'LAST BLOOD', is what I like to call it. I'm sure JD Zeik of ‘Ronin' fame penned a script for this a few years back. So, Rocky Balboa and Rambo are to be completely Sly's. What could possibly be next for the (I heard) “once $25m a movie-now you can get him for 500 grand' man? Surely not a COMMANDO sequel? Not quite. I know there was a Commando and Rambo team up script knocking around several years back, but there's also a script for Arnie and Sly entitled 'BRUTAL DELUXE', rumored to be tailored for the muscular rivals. It's uncertain whether uber producer Brian Grazer is still on board a possible team-up movie and whether he's the one in possession of this screenplay, but I'm sure it'll be a sure fire hit-to-be and if those prods aren't hungry, I bet they will gain a quick appetite for the 80's duo when 'INGLORIOUS BASTARDS' ramps up a pace.

According to ContactMusic.com, QUENTIN TARANTINO'S World War II Epic, INGLORIOUS BASTARDS may still star Arnold!

Tarantino recently squashed the rumors of the trio's (Schwarzenegger, Stallone & Willis) involvement in the film, but is apparently considering their roles. He also hinted that with Schwarzenegger's poor rating as Governor of California, this could be Arnold's biggest comeback yet.

Although Arnold's approval ratings are now heading back on the rise, Schwarzenegger's campaign funds are getting mighty low. After spending more than $44 million in last year's special election, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's re-election committee began 2006 in the red. In 2003, Schwarzenegger spent more than $10 million of his own money on the recall campaign and his candidacy for governor. It is said Arnold may have to put a lot more of his own money back in the campaign if he runs again.

Plus, wife Maria Shriver has already discussed her disapproval for Arnold being in politics due to his frequent family absent time and loss of privacy. Could this lead her into talking Arnold back into movies?! LET'S HOPE!!

New Cameron Project?!

TerminatorFiles Reports:
James Cameron, director of The Terminator and Titanic, is eyeing a movie-MMO tie-in, except he intends for the game to be available weeks before the movie.

Tentatively called Project 880, the director hopes to create some online, sci-fi gaming excitement before the movie is released. According to BusinessWeek, gamers will play the game weeks before they see the movie, which would flesh out the story thoroughly.

"So much of literary sci-fi is about creating worlds that are rich and detailed and make sense at a social level," Cameron said. "We'll create a world for people and then later present a narrative in that world"

The article states that the game is "at least two years off".
