Kurt Wimmer Directing T4?!

Welcome to Sunday, Arnold fans! Over the past couple of weeks, there's been a lot of speculation and rumours about T4, some which have been very strange indeed. Today we bring you a few more…

Ain't It Cool News (yes, that site) reports that Equilibrium director, Kurt Wimmer, may be up for the directing duties for T4, Ralph Moeller could possibly be playing yet another model of Terminator, and Michael Biehn might just be brought back to play an older John Connor in T4!

Now, first things first…

Wimmer, who was responsible for the Thomas Crown Affair screenplay may just be given the green light to helm T4. Nobody knows how certain it is. Nobody even knows where the rumour started. As MoviesOnline stated, it's the latest rumour out of the Hollywood machine.

“The sequel to Terminator 3 is getting a hell of a lot of attention to say the least. Why is that? Because in my opinion, it's going to kick some hardcore ass, lads! The latest rumour out of the Hollywood machine is that Kurt Wimmer will be directing Terminator 4. As with anything, it's way too early to say it's final, but it's still most interesting.”

AICN billed Wimmer as “a very cool choice”. Well, we shall see, boys and girls. Why make yet another addition to the already vast cast and crew of the Terminator saga?

Anyway, on with the news. So apparently, Ralph Moeller, from the Conan tv series, is in talks to join the T4 cast. Rumour has it that he's meeting the director (Wimmer? Mostow? Cameron?!) to discuss a role in the film, however it hasn't been made certain which one, and whether big or small. Most likely another Terminator. Or a Resistance soldier perhaps?

“The producers still hope to get Arnold Schwarzenegger for a guest-appearence.

Ralph Moeller is a former Mr. Universe, who was also the German Bodybuilding Champion of the International Federation of Body Builders, a champion boxer and worked as a professional swimmer for seven years.”

And finally, what's all this about Biehn coming back for T4? Well, it's purely fan ideas at the moment. It started at TheArnoldFans message boards (where GlobalArnold Admin have been posting their ideas and views!). Certain members feel that Biehn should be brought back to play the lead role of John Connor. Obviously, he'd look the same as his “son”, Kyle Reese, and probably wouldn't need that much make-up to make him look older. But is it really wise to have Biehn play two characters in the franchise?

AICN described him as “ the coolest actor from the franchise”, and he is adored by fans of the movies. But wouldn't it be strange to see him back, but as a different character? Like Arnold in our header picture, we raise an eyebrow to it all.
