Schwarzenegger: License to Ride!

Arnold Schwarzenegger may have been riding motorcycles for decades on and off the screen, but the Oak has never had an official motorcycle license!

Schwarzenegger was involved in a motorcycle accident, with 12 year son, Patrick, in January. It was only then it came out that Schwarzenegger had no official license.

However, almost 6 months on, Schwarzenegger is reported to have passed both a written and a riding test and got the required permit on Monday.

The Los Angeles Police Department did not issue any citations in the accident because department officials said no police officer saw what had happened. Officials at the Department of Motor Vehicles also cleared the governor of any violation, noting that because of the sidecar he was not technically riding on two wheels.

A spokesman for the Governor, said that Mr. Schwarzenegger, who broke six ribs in an accident years earlier, had not ridden since the January crash. She said he had been too busy governing but had finally taken time this week to make himself a legal motorcyclist.
