Barbarian DVD Re-release?!

Heads up Arnold fans! There's another new DVD on the horizon! And it's in the form of a special edition!

Conan The Barbarian will be released on special edition DVD (again) in UK on April 18th 2005. We were informed of this by our very good friend, Jacob, who saw it at Amazon.co.uk.

It will be a 2 disc special edition... but "WAIT!" we hear you cry. Isn't there already a 2 disc special edition of this movie out already? Yes there is. That's why we're so surprised to hear of another one - and to hear it so close to the release date surprises us further-more.

The running time stands at 123 minutes - the same as the current release. So we can tell you straight away that those deleted scenes that we're dropped to the cutting room floor haven't been re-inserted. So no director's cut!

Amazon were a bit unwilling to list any details - so we headed over to Play.com to get the spec!

According to Play, this is what the DVD will contain:

• New documentary chronicling sword and sorcery/fantasy films
• Deleted scenes
• 'The Conan Archives' - video stills montage
• Special effects split-screen video
• Cast and filmmakers biographies
• Production notes

This smells like BS! All of those features, bar one, are on the current release! If those Girlymen at Fox think they can re-hash a DVD with some new artwork, and throw in a documentary, they need to think again!

GlobalArnold will make it their duty to find out all about this DVD. And if it's what we've already told you here... then may CROM have mercy upon it!
