Schwarzenegger & Chan Terminate Piracy!

California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger teamed with Hong Kong martial arts star JACKIE CHAN yesterday to take on the bad guys. The action duo unveiled a new 30-second public service announcement produced by the California Jobs Commission and the Hong Kong Intellectual Property Department.

The spot features Arnold and Jackie on a movie set racing motorcycles through a 100 mph computer-generated chase scene. “If this were the movies, we could stop the bad guys ourselves,” says Jackie about counterfeiters, “But this is the real world, and we need your help,” says Arnold.

The spot was written by Terminator 3 Director JONATHAN MOSTOW. In it, Schwarzenegger & Chan race around a freeway, avoiding oncoming traffic and sliding their motorcycles through tight squeezes. It's like something out of a terminator movie!

The spot will air on Hong Kong state television beginning tonight and run for two months. The Jobs Commission and Hong Kong IPD are in discussions with other networks to air the spot across Guangdong Province and other regions in mainland China.

The spot, which cost about $190,000 to produce, was shot September 16 on the Universal lot in Los Angeles.
