Canadian Press interviewed Terminator star Linda Hamilton, and briefly touched on the upcoming FOX series, The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Hamilton, who played Sarah Connor in The Terminator (1984) & Terminator 2: Judgment Day(1991) was very positive about a new actress taking on the role.
And although she still gets recognized every day for her previous work - to fans "I'm either Linda (Beauty and the Beast) Hamilton or Linda (Terminator) Hamilton" - she has no connection with the upcoming spinoff series, "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles," premiering in January on Fox.
Lena Headey will play Hamilton's former character, Sarah Connor. "I love Lena Headey," says Hamilton, who is happy to "pass the baton" to the English actress. Hamilton feels a "Terminator" series could work. "The fact that (the characters) keep travelling back in time is a premise that could bear a lot of interesting ideas."
